Welcome to Rochester Prep Chili Campus Middle School

Rochester Prep Chili Campus Middle School is located in the Rochester neighborhood of Arnett. Students matriculate from Rochester Prep Andrews Campus Elementary School after grade 4 to Rochester Prep Chili Campus Middle School in grade 5. After grade 8, students are guaranteed a space at the brand new Rochester Prep High School, with no need to apply!

We are a free, public middle school serving students in grades 5 to 8.

Bus service is provided by the local school district in which the child lives.

We provide all students with a rigorous curriculum that prepares them for college and beyond. We have a longer school day and school year to allow for more learning time, and provide after-school tutoring to ensure that all of our students meet our high academic expectations.

A Typical School Day

Uncommon Schools Rochester Prep provides students with an education experience that combines joy, rigor, and hard work every day. Students are taught that hard work is a prerequisite for success. Rochester Prep Chili Campus Middle School ensures that all students receive a well-rounded education that will prepare them for success in high school, as well as college and beyond.

Emphasis on College

Rochester Prep begins educating students about the importance of college from day one and continues doing so through college readiness activities found in middle and high school. The goal is for freshman year of college to become a natural extension of graduating from high school.

Longer School Day and Year

To ensure that every student masters each and every standard, we provide students with a longer school day and longer year. We also offer homework help, after-school tutoring, and double periods of English and Math daily.

Structure and Order

Rochester Prep provides its students with a calm, safe, and orderly environment to maximize learning time. All students wear uniforms, and receive constant feedback for continuous academic and self-development.

Targeted Curriculum and Assessment

Rochester Prep teachers constantly collect data about how each student is learning and then adapt instructional strategies to meet individual needs. This ensures that all students make steady progress. Teachers also communicate regularly with families about students’ academic progress and behavior.

Athletics and Enrichment

Rochester Prep Chili Campus Middle School provides students with enrichment programs to explore their interests and discover new passions. Below are just some of the programs our students participate in.

Girls & Boys Modified Basketball

Rochester Prep Chili Campus Middle School's modified basketball teams are tailored to meet the needs of our 5th- through 8th-grade scholars and allows for maximum participation in a safe environment.

After School Clubs and Intramurals

Students have the opportunity to participate in more than a dozen different clubs and intramural sports throughout the year.

STEP Team

Rochester Prep Chili Campus Middle School's step team puts on performances that involve drill-team moves, cheerleading, gymnastics and acrobatics.

Partnering with Families

The important task of educating a child calls for the school, the student, and the family to all work together to ensure success. We encourage families to participate actively in their children’s education. We strive to cultivate positive and productive relationships with all of our families. Rochester Prep maintains its family-school relationships by:

holding regular conferences with students, families, and teachers,
hosting community-wide events, celebrations, performances, and family field trips,
calling families on a regular basis,
and inviting families to volunteer at school throughout the year.
